Alejandro
I was born in 1976 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At age 22 after going to school and struggling with the suit and tie in an insurance company, moved to Costa Rica to rent a beach bar. I became a Dive Instrcutor and travelled to work in Miami and Fort Lauderdale, doing some day work on Yachts, bummed around central america, back to the states to make some money and settled in Aruba, where i found a nice gig for a watersports company, scuba diving and doing day charters on a 70 foot catamaran with way too many tourists. Here i got hooked on sailing and Kiting. Suddenly it had been 2 years, and it was time to move on, got really lucky and thanks to good friends (Mike & Wendy from the SURF CLUB, best damn sports bar in Costa Rica!), scored a job as a watersports coordinator onboard Wind Spirit, a 5 star luxury sailing yacht, where i got to sail the Caribbean, across the Atlantic and Mediterreanean a few times.
My goal was always to travel, and enjoy the sea. And they were paying me well for it, but I would often stand in the bridge and dream with those sailboats going just where they wanted, and not where the tourists would pay them to go. Burned out after 4 years, I flew out and spent 6 weeks as a crew member onboard Tom´s boat Karaka, a 48 foot Ketch sailing the north coast of Brazil and into the Amazon river. I moved back to Argentina, this time to the mountains in Patagonia for a change, I took a short detour in Europe (things happen... guess I could not help my gipsy ways) only to realize that the sea was always calling me back. Finally, and together with Mariana we decided to get our own boat and start cruising.

Born in 1980, in Buenos Aires since very young I felt that sports were the "right thing" for me. Being a good swimmer all of my life, i ended up as a Personal Trainer and swimming Instructor to make my passion and job be a match.
My dad used to take the whole family on long driving vacations, escaping all of the traditional holiday destinations and ways. We visited the mountains and the ocean and he let us run run free and explore on our own. In 2007, aching for a little adventure i jumped onboard a ship that took me to Northern Africa, Europe, and the Mediterrenean. After this trips, I would never be the same...
Upon returning to Argentina, I met Alejandro and together we have been designing our new venture...IMAGINA SAILING, a 12 metre sailboat which will take us to the nicest places on earth, in company of people from all over the world, close to my beloved water and in touch with nature.
So , if you have itchy feet and a sense of adventure, take your shoes off and share this dream with us!
